SAAS is the latest expression of a career devoted to art, design, scholarship, teaching, and the stewardship of cultural collections. With degrees from the University of Georgia and the University of Chicago, I have held positions at the Museum of the Art Institute of Chicago, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the Saint Louis Art Museum, Fisk University Galleries, the Georgia Museum of Art, and Jenner & Block.

My experience spans museum leadership, curatorial practice, collections research, fine art and architectural studio work, and collegiate art history instruction. I have also served as a Metro Nashville Arts Commissioner and Missouri Arts Commission grants reviewer, and on advisory committees for cultural partnerships involving the Saint Louis Art Museum, Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, Fisk University, Crystal Bridges Museum, Marwen Foundation, and the Spencer Museum of Art.

These experiences inform an approach to art advising that is discerning, discreet, and deeply personal. I work closely with my clients to develop collections of distinction—grounded in individual sensibility, historical context, and lasting relevance. Whether evaluating a singular work or shaping an evolving collection, my aim is to make collecting an informed, meaningful, rewarding, and deeply personal part of life.

• Strategic collection development and stewardship, including the curation, acquisition, and ongoing management of private, corporate, and institutional collections, supported by rigorous art market analysis, provenance research, and due diligence.

• Extensive knowledge of artists and their practices, complemented by longstanding relationships with leading artists, galleries, dealers, scholars, curators, and cultural institutions.

• A sophisticated understanding of the art market, including the cultural, economic, and institutional forces that shape market dynamics, valuations, attribution, provenance, and transactions.

• A discerning eye for quality, relevance, and long-term value, with the ability to align individual works and broader collecting strategies with a client’s aesthetic vision, environment, objectives, and legacy.
