Simmons Art Advisory Services (SAAS) is a visual arts consulting practice that sources, evaluates, curates, and manages modern and contemporary art and design works for people and organizations that utilize and maintain art collections for public and private purposes. Services are also available to help clients and audiences explore world-class art and design through curated ARTalk, ARTravel, and outreach projects.
PURPOSE
Whether it’s a personal collection, a corporate project, a public art commission, or a cultural assignment, my ambition is to elevate the lives of those who acquire artworks and maintain art collections, as well as those who explore them. I work with my clients and collaborators to produce fine art solutions that resonate with meaning, foster community, and create compelling environments.
Art is more than an afterthought.
EXPERTISE
My areas of interest are modern and contemporary art and design across all media: painting, sculpture, drawings, prints, decorative arts, mixed and digital media, and photography. I am especially interested in the contributions Africans and Afro-descendant artists have made to modern and contemporary art and design.
Sourcing artworks, appraising pieces, curating installations, managing collections, and connecting audiences with world-class art are my core areas of service.
